The perfect can-do-it-all wristwatch doesn’t exis…..

A true can-do-it-all wristwatch might not exist, but there is one that comes pretty close. No, it is not some fancy fictional movie item, it’s a real watch. There is a saying in the firearms world, “beware the man with just one gun!” meaning that this gun is well maintained, and the owner knows how to use it. Now, I’m not saying you have to beware men and women that own just a single watch but remember that OO7 only had one… so perhaps there’s something to it?!

Without further ado, here it is, a 1970s ΩMEGA Seamaster.

Now, you probably think I’m crazy…. and what do I want with this old thing?! Let me explain. This is my favorite watch I have, because it is high quality manufacture and very versatile. It’s hard to see in the pictures, but the dial is a mix of silver and golden brown, depending on the light and angle you are looking at it. Check out this video;

The lug width is 18mm and there are millions of different strap- and bracelet options out there.

Just look at the versatility!

While you might not want to take it Deep Sea Diving, you can absolutely wear it on the boat during the day and then, after switching out the strap, wear it to the Opera at night.

This is a fantastic piece of machinery, and it can handle most of the tasks you are doing each and every day. Perfect for people who want a can-do-most wristwatch.

So let me say this; Dear Omega, if you could produce something similar to this vintage Seamaster, a 36mm or 37mm case, with a height of 10mm and a lug to lug of 44.5mm, thin stick hands and indices, minimalistic sunburst pattern dials with minimal- or even no lume, put in your Co-Axial calibre 2500 Chronometer, offer it for $3,500 and you will have such a hit you will struggle to keep up with manufacturing!
