The Left pushing for more gun control, again!

Today (02/08/2023), I was listening in to https://live.house.gov and two democratic members talked about school shootings and gun violence.

Every violent death is tragic, especially when it involves children. Unfortunately, democrats’ ONLY solution is the ban of a certain firearm, the AR-15 sporting rifle, and that’s it. They blame the tool that is being used in the commission of a crime, rather than the person who is actually committing the crime. Murder is already against the law, but since they are unwilling to hold those people accountable (more to that later), they just want to restrict other people from owning them.

The 2nd Amendment is pretty clear, but we still get more and more restrictions and rulings handed down by the wannabe rulers of the world. Ask yourself why.

Politicians have no interest in keeping you and your children safe. If they did, violent offenders wouldn’t get plea deals and (mass) murderers as well as rapist would get an automatic death penalty. Politicians are more worried about their own personal (financial) gain, and a gain in their power and influence.

Imagine this: The semi-automatic rifle, type AR-15 is banned from civilian use and existing ones are confiscated (a democrats wet dream), but then the next shooting happens. Then what?! We ban the other gun that the perpetrator(s) used? This is an endless game and far-left democrats will NEVER be satisfied, because criminals will use WHATEVER THEY CAN to overpower their potential victims.

They further keep misusing the English language, a skill they are very good at by the way and keep referring to it as gun violence. Yet, when a person gets stabbed to death it’s not knife violence. A driver of a vehicle hitting and killing someone is not vehicle violence, and so forth. Violence is just that, violence. It’s an act, perpetrated by a person.

Fact is that your safety is YOUR responsibility, and the laws need to lay the foundation for people to defend themselves, their loved ones and their property against all people who do wish us as well as our properties harm. Period!

The law needs to give qualifying people the foundation to carry their firearm everywhere they go. While civilians do not have a duty to respond to an emergency (like peace officers do), the law needs to give them the ability to do so without the fear of prosecution, if there was no wrongdoing in their response to an emergency (reasonable person standard)!

It is NOT meant for civilians to patrol the streets, we are talking about an emergency response, when seconds count and the police is only minutes.

If politicians would really care about your and your kids’ safety, they would cease gun free zones, and they would allow staff members to carry a firearm to school. Employers would allow employees to carry at work. People who purchase, possess and carry firearms have to be qualified (NICS, carry license, etc.) and there should only be a few exceptions as to where they cannot bring their firearm (federal building, bars, etc.).

If politicians would really care about your and your kids’ safety, they would not allow for violent offenders to enter ludicrous plea deals. I have seen offenders who work out a deal with a minimal time inside a prison and rather more time on paper (basically probation), so they can be on the outside asap again. I have seen sex offenders getting a plea deal where they walk out the jail the very same day. This is the real pandemic!

Murder 1 as well as Rape 1 both should be an automatic death penalty. Death by hanging should be brought back. It is less expensive and neither a cruel nor unusual punishment. If you think this is cruel then go back to the mid-ages, where they hung you upside-down, naked, and then cut you in half with a large handsaw from the groin area all the way to the head.

Repeat offenders need to serve their time day for day. These ridiculous calculations as to how much time you actually have to serve behind bars are NOT a deterrent. Only the federal system is almost day for day, where serving a 5yr sentence will leave you over 4.5yrs behind bars. On the state level this varies by a lot, and sometimes for a 5yr sentence they will only be 1.5yrs in lockup. The rest is probation.

And they wonder why we have so many repeat offenders. They either refuse to see the truth, live in denial or try to get a personal benefit from the tragedies. Do you think the Jews in Nazi Deutschland would have surrendered their firearms if they would have known what happened to them? Or the North Koreans? Or the Chinese?

It’s all about people control, they want a police state, and their endgame is absolute power. One thing I know for sure is that I would rather die than to live in a society where everything is taken away because a handful of people are scared, unwilling or unable to understand that life in itself is dangerous. The potential to die is great, every day, be it out and about or in your sleep. It’s there and that’s a fact no one can dispute.

People have to become responsible again and we need to hold criminals accountable for their actions, again. It doesn’t matter if they steal, sell illegal drugs and/or hurt anyone.

Politicians don’t care about this. They think this country is safer once firearms are banned (the AR-15 is just the beginning). What they fail to understand (or refuse to understand) is that it will NOT change the way criminals think or act. Well, not in the way they want them to think/act anyway. Disarming the population will leave the good people defenseless against bad people. That’s a fact.

We cannot allow this to happen and politicians who keep pushing for more and more control need to be voted out of office forever!

Instead of victim mentality we need to promote common sense and responsibility.

Again, the death of a child is never easy, and people who hurt other people need to be held accountable. But again, imagine how many school students could have been saved if there was an armed person on campus, ready to take action. Or in a movie theater, or the mall. All gun-free zones, all perfect places to find plenty of victims. Banning firearms will NOT reduce crime and/or death. It will increase it.

We don’t need more gun control; we need more gun rights!

The U.S. Government and their continuous attacks on the 2nd Amendment!

No one ever wants to become victim of a crime, especially not a violent one. When such crimes occur many of us are stunned at the level of violence people are willing to use in order to not just commit their crimes but also to get away with it.

The response from the government is, as usual, not fully thought through and is more along the lines of “let’s do something quick right now so the people think we are doing something, anything, even though it’s not fixing the problem” instead of doing something useful, meaningful and lasting.

And what is the government response? Taking things away. But here’s where it gets interesting. They only want to take away firearms when people are killed in a violent crime. Hell, they even want to take them away when an accident happens, but only when it happens to the People not to one of them (see Dick Chaney).

The newest government supported idea is to sue gun manufacturers if one of their firearms is used in a crime. Remington was the victim of such frivolous lawsuit because there was no basis neither in law nor fact. The manufacturer legally made an item which then was used in a crime later on by a different person. Now they are after Daniel Defense because of the school shooting in Uvalde, TX. Here’s a quote from CNN:

“Daniel Defense markets its AR-15-style rifles to young male consumers by using militaristic imagery and video game references, by marketing on various social media platforms, and by suggesting that its rifles can be used by civilians for offensive combat-style operations against non-combatants,” the suit alleges. The suit also claims Daniel Defense’s marketing tactics are unfair and violate the Federal Trade Commission Act.

I understand the devastation of the parents, their anger and their urge to find some justice in this unjustifiable situation. I’m not mad at the parents at all. I’m mad that our federal government sits there and encourages frivolous lawsuits in the first place, because this is their attack on law-abiding citizens!

I have written a few opinions on gun control, gun rights and how to be prepared:

If the government would really care about you, your rights, your safety, your wellbeing, then they would focus on the reasons we have those problems, not on the tools criminals use to commit their crimes!

Over the last few decades, people have been installed into government positions who are not for the People, but for a totalitarian regime. These people benefit from tragedies like mass shootings because this is how they can enact (emergency) legislation. Just look at the covid response and see how they still do it in China, which is ruled by a totalitarian regime. If you don’t see it, then I advise you to read a non-fiction history book. If you have and if you see what is currently happening, then you will realize that there are only two possible outcomes to that. Either we get some common sense and legislate it, or the People will revolt! Again, look at China!

Every DA and every judge who allows such frivolous lawsuits to be heard should be dismissed from his or her post immediately. Why? Are we suing Ford because a Ford Escape was used in the Waukesha Christmas parade attack? Are we suing the screwdriver manufacturer that a man in Las Vegas used in 2021 to attack law enforcement officers? Are we suing alcohol manufacturers? Cutlery makers? Shovel makers? No, we don’t, because the idea alone is insane!

Again, I understand the parents. We recently lost a nephew to a very violent vehicle accident involving a semi-truck. Did we sue the truck manufacturer? No, this is just nonsense to even think about!

We all want justice when a crime happens, but we have to use common sense and reason to do so. The issue is not that American companies build and sell firearms. The issue is that we, as a society, have strayed away so far from morals and values that killing innocent people really means nothing to a lot of people anymore.

And instead of investing our money into programs to help single parents, to help people with mental health issues, and build a bright and prosperous future where people are proud to be American, proud to be alive and proud to go to work and accomplish something, government rather use dangerous wordplay of doom and gloom winters, lockdowns and covid deaths. They make mental illness seem normal (which most of it is, but we still need to help those individuals who have it!) and even help to bond criminals out from jail!!! But it is not normal when it comes to underaged children and transgender studies. No one in their right mind should ever encourage anyone to self-mutilate, period. People are lost, confused, depressed, don’t see a bright future ahead of them and then they snap.

While POTUS doesn’t make law, they sure do set a certain tone of how things are going. So, they do have an influence of how people feel and react to certain situations and circumstances.

Instead of being our biggest cheerleaders, many politicians are the exact opposite and try to bring the American way of life to an end, like other countries have already, rulers and dictators rather than a government by the people and for the people!

We live in dangerous times, but it does start at the top! To make one thing clear, we will NEVER prevent evil from striking, but we can be prepared as much as possible. And in order to be prepared we also must be okay with law-abiding citizens to purchase and carry firearms. Your safety is your responsibility, and you cannot rely on the police to be there in time to safe you.

Of course, our kids are supposed to be safe at school. It is absolutely not their fault when they fall victim to a school shooter, even though some might know something but are too scared to say something. The adults have failed the kids, over and over again. And why? Mostly because of money, or they just don’t care. Most grow complacent. How sad, really.

We cannot be naive and think that if good people are disarmed then bad people won’t commit crimes anymore. This is what a far-left government wants you to believe, but it’s utterly absurd to even entertain these thoughts.

Evil can strike anytime, anywhere. This is a fact of life. Firearms are tools used by good people to stop evil and we cannot allow that criminals outgun law-abiding citizens and the police, ever! At least not since the North Hollywood shootout!

There is a sign at the Texas Ranger Hal of Fame & Museum in Waco, TX which reads;

Why do the Texas Rangers and other law enforcement agencies continue to obtain more powerful and advanced weapons?

The answer?

Because criminals have them!

This is the bottom line.

If we ban firearms or sue gun makers into bankruptcy (again, totally frivolous but what the far-left extremists wants!), then only the criminals will have weapons and we will see more violent crime in the streets! And don’t think for a minute that Russia or China wouldn’t take a chance on invading the U.S. if the People would be disarmed. The People are the reason no one invades us, because when push comes to shove, the People will rise up and defend what they love.

We became a soft society living in an oversaturated world, because people before us worked hard and fought bitterly to make it that way. Now society has become so saturated with everything that we can help ourselves when the store runs out of toilet paper, we are attached to social media to let everyone know how our day was and what bothered us today, we are offended by foul language, need safe spaces, are okay with an international sex trafficking ring, drag shows for minors (MINORS!!!), need gender affirmation to feel valued and understood, proper pronounce in the military, getting to the bottom of white rage, and so forth.

While I think that we need a strong federal government, we sure don’t need a big one. Federal government has become too powerful and now wants to destroy everything that’s in their way of staying in power and to continue with their anti-American agenda, because they have become globalists, entertaining a totalitarian regime’s way of governing. But this is a different story.

I hope this article will put a different perspective on the “current thing” because the bottom line is that we don’t solve complex problems by infringing on our rights, because a handful of people cannot behave. We need to focus on them and hold them accountable, not the rest of the nation!
